J’ouvertnation! Whose nation??? Allow us to explain. Pronounced (joo-vay-nay-shun), J’ouvertnation is really a play on the word "rejuvenation"... (ding, ding ding!)

Anyhwho...back to class. First, J'ouvert! A contraction of the French words "Jour d'ouvert" which translates to "light of day" or "opening day" and signifies the beginning of carnivals worldwide BUT we’re not just about carnival. St. Thomas J’ouvert 2012 was our guinea pig and marketing launch. Our hope was to initiate a resurgence of community using our namesake, j'ouvert. Success? Yes! But now that you've been sucked in, welcome to Planet J'ouvertnation!

We’re a gang of cerebrals, creative bandits, pioneers, and professional misfits obsessed with creating the change we want to see – basically, we're the crazy-cool kids who do the stuff that you wish would happen. J'ouvertnation's heart beats for creative and entrepreneurial appetites but we love our culture and we love modernism so we decided to marry them all to create ideas that are uplifting and "rejuvenating" – (wink, wink...see how that all came together?)
